Axel Halfmeier

From 1988 to 1993 he studied law at the University of Hamburg (first state examination 1993). After his LL.M. studies (1995-1996) University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his legal clerkship (1996-1999), he passed the major state law examination before the HansOLG in 1999. After receiving his doctorate (Dr. iur.) in 1999 and his habilitation in 2006, he was Professor of German and International Private and Commercial Law at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management from 2007 to 2012. Since 2012, he has been Professor of Civil Law, Comparative Law and Private International and Procedural Law at Leuphana University Lüneburg.
