Observatoire des Actions de Groupe

Who are we?

An event and a label are at the origin of the Observatory of Group and Other Collective Actions.

The Observatory of Class Actions and other Collective Actions was created on 27 January 2017, at the end of the Fourth International Academy of IDEP, on the topic “From inaction to group actions: new challenges”. The event, organised under the scientific direction of Ms Maria José AZAR-BAUD and Ms Véronique MAGNIER, respectively Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor at the University of Paris-Sud, was held at the Maison du Barreau de Paris. French and foreign specialists on the issue presented their positions at four round tables. Debates followed with researchers, lawyers, legal experts, actors from the business world and the voluntary sector.

The Observatory of Group Actions and other Collective Actions was also created with the support of the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Paris-Saclay in the framework of the response to a Call for Projects, and the label “Emergences-2017”.

Several observations led Maria José Azar-Baud to found it in 2017.
